MADISON, W. Va. – Richard Lee Salyers, 30, of Chapmanville, and Cecil S. Bartram, 31, also of Chapmanville, were sentenced to prison by Judge William S. Thompson. Salyers and Bartram pled guilty last year to First Degree Robbery and Destruction of Property. In April 2010, Deputies received a 911 call at Long Branch 27 mine along Farley Fork Road outside of Greenwood. Upon arrival, deputies met with a security guard who stated he was approached by three men who threatened him with a lug wrench. The three men then bound the guard by taping his hands and feet behind his back. Once bound up, the three men stole various items from the mine. The guard remained bound for over an hour until he was able to free himself. Deputies later identified the men as Salyers, Bartram and a third co-defendant, Andrew Belcher.
